The latest edition of the Skyway magazine (Autumn/Winter 2016) focuses on SESAR2020 and looks at solutions to address the challenges Europe’s ATM system will have to face in the coming decades. It looks at EUROCONTROL’s vital role in ensuring interoperability of new-generation systems and procedures at European and worldwide levels. 

In this edition, we also give the floor to Florian Guillermet, SESAR Joint Undertaking’s Executive Director who sheds light on SESAR achievements and solutions and on the cooperation with the different partners. Patrik Peters, IFATCA’s President and Chief Executive Officer, talks about the involvement of controllers in the Single European Sky programme and the evolution of the controllers’ role.
