Can I visit EUROCONTROL?

The Institute and the Network Manager Operations Centre welcome the visit of stakeholders. As a result of a rather large interest to visit us, we advise to plan your visit well in advance so that your time can be used in an optimal way. We regret that we are unable to approve all requests to visit.

Can the Institute deliver air traffic training for my country?

EUROCONTROL regularly delivers courses on-site in response to requests received from training organisations, administrations or companies to provide external (on-site) training on an area closely linked to the EUROCONTROL training expertise and missions at their places of work. EUROCONTROL aims to meet all acceptable requests subject to training expert's availability and internal demands.

Is it true that the air traffic control for the whole Europe is performed in your buildings?

No operational air traffic control is performed at the Institute of Air Navigation Services(IANS) in Luxembourg, nor at the Network Manager Operations Centre (NMOC) in Brussels.

IANS is EUROCONTROL’s training centre. The Institute provides air traffic management training, air traffic control training and develops standards, guidelines and tools.

NMOC is EUROCONTROL’s Network Manager Operations Centre, involved in every aspect of air traffic flow and capacity management.

Operational air traffic control in the upper airspace for the Benelux and parts of Germany is performed in EUROCONTROL’s Upper Airspace Control Centre in Maastricht. EUROCONTROL’s headquarters are located in Brussels.
